Behind Blue Eyes is a charity that works with children on the front lines and de-occupied territories.
The idea of the project: interested children receive a disposable film camera and a week to film anything they want: life, the village, everyday life. A week later, the children send the captured films to Kyiv, where the team screens them and goes on the next expedition to get to know the children, their families, and the context of their lives more deeply. Also show the pictures to their creators and ask "what do you dream about?".
Photos are published on the project's platforms along with children's stories, and the community rewards the authors of the photos, according to their wishlists.
In this way, the project shows children that even under such conditions, creativity can make dreams come true.
Task: Create 5 covers for the podcast. Behind Blue Eyes will release a podcast, short interviews with project participants - children from the front-line and de-occupied villages of the South (Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions).
The podcast will consist of short conversations with children: 5 episodes and 5 different villages. They will talk about emotions, dreams, jokes. hobbies, (unfortunately, the war), villages, family, relationships with friends, about my childhood, etc.
Solution: I decided to make a minimalistic cover that would be as memorable as possible. For this, I decided to use the character from the logo, which, in my opinion, is very important in the identity and, in turn, is very well remembered by the audience. In the middle of the character, I placed the film photos taken by the children, thus the name of the project "Behind the Blue Eyes" and conveys the main essence of my idea. The cover turned out to be super functional and varied for each episode.
